~ Jorge Posada ~

No matter how you look it, Jorge Posada is a star on the rise, if he's not already a star, considering he is now a four-time All-Star and finished 3rd in the AL MVP race in 2003. The full-time catcher of the Yankees since Joe Girardi's departure after the 1999 season, Posada has been a catcher the Yankees have not seen since Thurmon Munson in the 1970s.

In the absence of David Cone and Tino Martinez after the 2001 season, Posada had slowly grew to become my favorite current Yank. He showed that not only does he have the skills to take care of the needs of the Yankees' slew of All-Star (and sometimes, not so All-Star) pitchers by manning the spot behind the plate for over 130 games a season, he also have the bat power to make him a threat against the opposition pitching staff.
